Melamchi Municipality
According to the decision of the Government of Nepal on Mangsir 1, 2071BS, Melamchi Municipality was formed by merging 7 villages (Melamchi, Jamire, Shikharpur, Talamarang, Sindhukot, Banswari, and Phatakshila) after the restructuring of the state. On the 27th of Falgun 2073, Melamchi Municipality was reorganized by adding 4 VDC (Votechaur, Haibung, Thakani, and Duwachaur). After reorganization, there are currently 13 wards in this municipality.
