Ward No. 1, Bhotechaur

Bhotechaur is under Ward No. 1 of Melamchi Municipality of Sindhupalchok District. The current Melamchi Ward No. 1 was formed by including Wards 1-4 of the previous Bhotechaur Village Development Committee.

The total area of ​​this ward is 9.33 square kilometers. Giranchaur of Melamchi Municipality and Shankarapur Municipality of Kathmandu is on the eastern border of Bhotechour. Nibugaon is located on the western border of this ward. The Sindu River and Shivpuri Nagarjuna National Park are located on the north and south borders of this ward respectively. Bhotechour is a short pass to enter the Sindhupalchok district from Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal.

Bhotechaur can be reached through Buddh-Sankhu of Kathmandu. Tea is cultivated in many places here. Bhotechour is also known as "Mini Ilam".Tamang, Newar, Brahmin, Chhetri, and other communities have dense settlements here.
