Sunkoshi Rural Municipality

Sunkoshi rural municipality is one of the 12 local levels (3 municipal and 9 rural) in Sindhupalchok district of Bagmati province. During the restructuring of the state after the new constitution, the decision of the Council of Ministers of the Government of Nepal B.S. According to the information published in the gazette on 27th of Falgun 2073, Sunkoshi Rural Municipality was formed by merging Thokarpa, Kalika, Thumpakhar, Sunkhani, Yamuna Danda and Pangretar Village Development Committees. Currently, there are 7 wards in this rural municipality. It is named after the Sunkoshi River that flows through this village.
