Pangretar is the former Village Development Committee of Sindhupalchowk. During the implementation of federalism, this VDC had included in Sunkoshi Rural Municipality as ward no.7.
The eastern border of Pangretar is connected with Tripurasundari. And, the western edge is associated with Thumpakhar. Similarly, the northern and southern borders are connected with Balephi and Lisankhu respectively.
