Dhulikhel Municipality

Dhulikhel is one of the major local governments among 13 local levels in the Kavre district.  During the state structure after the new constitution, i.e. during the implementation of federalism, based on the information published in the gazette by the Government of Nepal on the 27th of Falgun 2073, this municipality was established by adjusting the former Dhulikhel Municipality, Patlekhet, Shankhupati Chaur (1-3, 5-9), Raviopi (1-5), Devitar (1-3, 6-9), & Sharadabatase village development committees. 

There are 12 ward offices in Dhulikhel Municipality with a total area of 55 Square Kilometre. This municipality is located 30 km east of the capital. The eastern border of Dhulikhel is connected with Panchkhal & Namobuddha Municipality. And, the western border of this municipality is connected with Banepa & Panauti Municipality. Similarly, The northern & southern border is associated with Panchkhal/ Banepa and Namobuddha/ Panauti. 

Additionally, biogas production has been carried out as a sample from the sewage treatment centre and drinking water programme that are operated as models in Nepal. Numerous hotels are in operation in this town since it has access to power, drinking water, and other amenities. This city has grown to be the hub of business due to the two major highways that run through its centre, the BP Highway and the Araniko Highway.
