Dhulikhel Hospital

The hospital was a joint venture between the Municipality of Dhulikhel, NepaliMed International, and the Dhulikhel Health Service Association. It was officially inaugurated by the late King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev in 1996 AD. 

About Dhulikhel Hospital 

 Dhulikhel Hospital is situated in Dhulikhel Municipality, Kavre. There are roughly 30,000 individuals living there, whereas the Kavre district is home to roughly 300,000 people. The capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu, is located 30 kilometres northeast of Dhulikhel, which is about 1550 metres above sea level. Dhulikhel is well known for its gorgeous scenery, expansive mountain views, and temperate climate. 

The hospital serves about 2.5 million people from the surrounding districts of Bhaktapur, Kavrepalanchok, Sindhupalchowk, Dolakha, Sindhuli, and Ramechhap. However, more than 50 of the nation's 75 districts have already received care from Dhulikhel Hospital.  Dhulikhel Hospital is also the university hospital for all the medical programs run under the collaboration with Kathmandu University (constituent medical programs of Kathmandu University).

One of Dhulikhel Hospital's key features is its 18 Outreach centres, which are located all around Nepal and include a 50-bed speciality hospital in Dolakha. In addition to providing primary healthcare, these outreach centres also act as referral hubs for more specialised services. Community Health Centre 

A large number of people in Nepal still cannot access central-level hospitals for a variety of reasons, including availability, price, and accessibility. Consequently, these issues are attempted to be addressed by the department's health service programmes. Currently, the residents of the area can access round-the-clock medical care from eighteen distinct health clinics situated in rural areas around Nepal. These facilities serve as hubs for a range of preventive, curative, and rehabilitative services that the community can use in addition to serving as basic healthcare facilities.
