There are only 6 municipalities in the Bardia district, Lumbini, Nepal. According to the notice published in the gazette on the 27th of Falgun 2073, Gulariya, Rajapur, Madhuwan, Barbardiya, Thakurbaba, and Bansgadhi, are the municipalities of Bardiya. These six municipalities of Bardiya have been formed within the various rules and boundaries set by the Local Government Operation Act 2074.
