Barbardiya Municipality

Barbardiya is a local government in Bardiya, Lumbini Province, Nepal. During the state structure after the new constitution, i.e. during the implementation of federalism, based on the information published in the gazette by the Government of Nepal on the 27th of Falgun 2073, this municipality was established by adjusting the former Baniyabhar, Padanah, Magaragadhi & Dhadhawar village development committees. 

There are a total of 11 wards in this municipality. Barbardia municipality is located in the central part of Bardia district between 28 degrees 26 minutes to 28 degrees 36 minutes north latitude and 81 degrees 30 minutes to 81 degrees 50 minutes north longitude. The borders of this municipality are Basgadhi Municipality in the east, Madhuwan Municipality in the west, Bardia National Park and Thakurbaba Municipality in the north and Gularia Municipality in the south.
