Lisankhupakhar rural municipality is a local level (local government) located in the Sindhupalchok district under Bagmati province. It was established in the year 2074. During the state structure after the new constitution, i.e. during the implementation of federalism, based on the information published in the gazette by the Government of Nepal on the 27th of Falgun 2073, this village municipality was established by adjusting the former Thulo Dhading, Attarpur, Lisankhu, Jethal, Petku, and Thakhapakhar village development committees.

Spread over a total area of ​​98.61 square kilometres, there are only 7 wards in this rural municipality. The eastern border of Lisankhupakhar rural municipality is connected with Dolakha district, while the western border is connected with Sunkoshi rural municipality and Kavre district. Similarly, the northern border of Tripura is connected with Sundari Rural Municipality and Sunkoshi Rural Municipality and the southern border is connected with Ramechhap and Kavre.

According to the news of the first month of 2023 AD, Lisankhu Pakhar rural municipality has delivered internet to government offices and schools across the rural municipality. From which the surrounding citizens can also get free internet service.

Population of Lisankhupakhar Rural Municipality

 According to the census of 2068, the total population of the village was 15143, of which 8032 were women and 7111 were men. Similarly, the number of members per family was 4.11 and the population density was 153.56 per square kilometre.

According to the national census of 2078, the total population of the municipality is 11560, of which 5713 are males and 5847 are females. Similarly, the total census house number is 3605 and the family number is 3746.

According to the local level election - 2079, the total number of voters in Lisankhupakhar was 16976, of which 8546 were men and 8430 were women. Similarly, in this election, there were 10 polling stations and 21 polling stations throughout the village.

Educational Institutions

Community schools have the biggest contribution to the educational field of Lisankhu Pakhar Rural Municipality. There are 21 child development centres, 15 primary schools, 4 basic schools, and 10 secondary schools. Forest has spread in most parts of Lisankhupakhar Rural Municipality. About 60 square kilometers or 61 percent of the total land area is covered with different types of forests. Since many areas are covered by forests, about 54 community forests have been developed across the municipality on the initiative and initiative of the community for its protection.
