Bagmati Rural Municipality

Bagmati Rural Municipality is located in Lalitpur District, Nepal. It was established in 2017 when Nepal adopted a federal system of government. This rural municipality was formed by merging 7 previous VDCs of Ghusel, Malta, Bhattedanda, Pyutar, Ikudol, Ashrang and Gimdi. This rural municipality covers an area of 159.93 square kilometres. According to National Census 2021, This is home to over 11,353 people.

The Bagmati Rural Municipality is divided into seven wards. It is known for its beautiful natural surroundings, with rivers and hills. Agriculture is the main occupation for most of the people here, and crops like rice, maize, and vegetables are grown. The office of the Bagmati Rural Municipality is located in Bhattedanda, Lalitpur.

The eastern border of Bagmati Gaupalika is connected with Mahankal Rural Municipality. Makawanpur is in the western part of Bagmati. Similarly, the northern borders are connected with Godawari Municipality & Konjyosom Gaupalika. And, the southern border is connected with Makawanpur.
