Many of Kathmandu’s leading institutional (private) colleges reserve seats for high‑achieving students through this scholarship. If you qualify, you can enroll in these colleges under the scholarship quota, enjoy quality education, and free up family resources for other needs.
Under KMC scholarship, every colleges offered 10% scholarship seat for students. In this scholarship, the quota breakdown on the basis of following method:
- 40% for students from community (public) schools
- 5% for students already on a 10% scholarship in private schools
- 9% for permanent residents of Kathmandu Metropolitan City
- 1% for students in landfill‑affected areas and studying in schools within that area.

Eligibility for KMC Scholarship
The student who fall under the following criteria can apply this scholarship.
- SEE GPA equal to 1.6 and more that 1.6
- Completed Secondary Education Examination (SEE) at A community school, or On a 10% scholarship at an institutional school
- Permanent residence in Ward No. 1, 2, 3 of the directly affected area from Landfield Side, and Ward No. 1, 3, 4 of Dhunibeshi Rural Municipality.
