Mude Bazaar is a major commercial centre connecting the Sindhupalchok and Dolakha districts. There are enough hotels and lodges here. It is about 2500 meters above sea level. Therefore, the weather here is usually cold. In the winter months, heavy snow falls here. A view tower has been constructed here to promote tourism. Churpi and local potatoes are the main attractions of Mudea. There is also a potato research and development centre at Nigale.

Mude is about 100 km from Kathmandu. Khadichour can be reached through the Araniko Highway. From Khadichour, one can reach Mude via Lamosanghu-Jiri road. There are public buses to go here. And, you can also go on private buses & bike rides.
