Kageshwori Manohara Municipality

Kageshwori Manohara Municipality is the local body in the Kathmandu district. It is in the northeast direction of Kathmandu. This municipality was established in 2071 by adjusting the former Gothatar, Mulpani, Danchhi, Alapot & Gagalfedi village development committees. Later, this municipality is divided into 9 ward offices. This municipality is named after the famous Kageshwori Mahadev Temple & Manohara River. 

Kageshwori Manohara municipality is located at 27 degrees 41' to 27 degrees 46' north latitude and 85 degrees 21' to 85 degrees 28' east longitude. The eastern border is connected with the Shankharapur Municipality. Kathmandu Metro City & Gokarneshwor Municipality are on the western border of this municipality. The northern border of Kageshwori Manohara is connected with Sindhupalchowk. And, Madhyapur Thimi Municipality is in the southern part of this municipality. It is spread from 1297 meters to 2258 meters above sea level.

The total area of KAgeshwori Manohara is 28.80 square kilometres. Kageshwori Mahadev, Nawatan Dham, Champak Binayak Mandir, Kashtha Bhairav Temple, Mahakal Bhairav, Thali Balkumari etc are the famous religious places in Kageshwori Manohara.
