Tamakoshi Rural Municipality

Tama Koshi is one of the local governments in Dolakha operated as a rural municipality. it is established in 2017 AD. During the state structure after the new constitution, i.e. during the implementation of federalism, based on the information published in the gazette by the Government of Nepal on the 27th of Falgun 2073, this rural municipality was established by adjusting the former Bhirkot, Jhule, Jafe, Malu, Sahare, Chyama& Hanwa village development committees. 

Tamokoshi Gaupalika is in the southern part of Dolakha district in Bagmati province. it is on the bank of the Tamakoshi & Khimti rivers.  There are 7 ward offices in Tamakoshi. Similarly, The total area of Tamakoshi is 153.06 square kilometres. There are 15163 total population in this Gaupalika. According to National Census 2078, 74% is the literacy rate of Tamakoshi. 

The eastern border of Tamakoshi Gaupalika is connected with Jiri Municipality. Melung Gaupalika is in the west of Tamakoshi. The northern border is associated with Baiteshwor Gaupalika. Similarly, the southern border is connected to the Khimti Khola & Ramechhap districts.
