Gumba was the Village development committee of Sindhupalchowk. These VDC had 9 wards. After the New constitution-2072 in, the state was restructured. And, Gumba VDC is changed to ward 3 of Jugal Rural Municipality. This ward lies in Representative Constituency Region No. 1 and Provincial Assembly Constituency No. 1(B) of Sindhupalchowk.
The eastern border of Gumba is connected with Bhotekoshi RM. And, the western border is connected with Golche. Similarly, the northern and southern borders are connected with China and Pangtang village respectively.
