Shree Irkhu Secondary School is located in Chautara Sangachok Gadhi Municipality Ward No. 8, Irkhu of Sindhupalchok District. This school offers education from ECD to 12th standard. This is the former Irkhu Village Development Committee and is now the largest school in Ward 8. There are only basic schools in other parts of the ward. Students from different parts of the ward come to Irkhu School for education above the basic level.

This community school, run by the Ministry of Education, Government of Nepal, has been teaching 10 plus 2 with affiliation from the National Examination Board(NEB).

In the past, this school was facing problems including physical structure. The building, built with the help of various organizations, was destroyed by the 2015 AD earthquake. The current modern school building was built with the help of Nepalhilfe Wilgris Germany.
