Ghumthang was the village development committee of Sindhupalchowk. Currently, Ghumthang is ward no. 7 of Barhabise Municipality. This ward is formed by combining former 1-9 wards.
The eastern border of ward no. 7 is connected with ward no. 6 (Gati). And, the western border is connected with Jugal Rural Municipality. Similarly, the northern & southern borders are connected with Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality & ward no. 8, Maneshwara respectively.
