Helambu Rural Municipality Ward No. 2 includes former Kiul VDC’s Ward 1-9. Spread over an area of 26.10 square kilometers, Panchpokhari Thangpal Rural Municipality is located in the east, and Ward No. 6, 7, and 8 of Helambu Rural Municipality is in the west. Similarly, Ward No. 1 of Helambu rural municipality is in the north of this ward, while Ward No. 3 is in the south. According to the census of 2068, the population of this ward was 2950 people (female 1504, male 1444) and the number of households was 764. Hyolmo community is also living in this ward. Similarly, communities such as Tamang, Chhetri, Bahman, and others are living here. Agriculture and animal husbandry are practiced in this ward. In the upper part, especially millet, corn, and other vegetables are cultivated, while in the lower part, cardamom, Tomato (tunnel), etc. are cultivated in the lower part. The local people especially rear cows, buffaloes, goats, and chickens. Commercial trout fishing is done in this area.
The name of this ward is understood to be a combination of the Tamang language 'Kyu' and 'Ul'. 'Q' means water and 'Ul' means village. It means a village with a lot of water, hence its name Kiul.
