Ghorthali is a former village development committee. During the implementation of federalism, Ward No. 1-4 of the former Ghorthali borough remained under Bahrabise Municipality, while Ward No. 5-9 remained as Ward No. 1 of Tripurasundari Rural Municipality. The total area of this ward is 16.18 square kilometres.
The eastern border of Ghorthali is connected with Dolakha. And, the western edge is associated with Chokati. Similarly, the northern and southern borders are connected with Bahrabise Municipality and Chokati village respectively.
The highest part of this ward is 3708 meters above sea level. Seti Devi, Kageshwari, Devithan, Bhumethan, Bhumisthan etc. are famous religious places in this ward.
