Locals say that in ancient times, there was a lot of bamboo in this place and that is why the name of this place is called Banskharak. Apart from this, other reasons are also connected with the history of its naming.

Spread over an area of ​​14.97 square kilometers, in the lower part of this ward, rice, corn, wheat, and other grains are cultivated, while vegetables such as cauliflower, cabbage, and chilies are cultivated. Similarly, potatoes, radish, tea, coffee, kiwi, orange, lemon, ginger, turmeric, garlic, and other foods are cultivated in the upper part of this ward. People here make their living by farming and animal husbandry. The current Banskhark Ward was formed by combining wards 1-9 of the old Banskhark VDC. According to the year 2068, there was a total population of 3075 in this ward, of which 1991 were women and 1984 were men.
