Palchowki Mai Temple

Palchowki Mai Temple is a famous religious & tourist place in Sindhupalchowk. it is located in Helambu Rural Municipality ward no. 3, Palchowk. This temple is also known as Jay Bageshwori. This temple is one of the oldest Hindu temples. Devotees who visit the temple worship Palchoki Mai as a powerful deity. Therefore, this temple is a centre of faith and faith. 

Legend

Legend has it that when people first settled in the area around the 5th century, they cut a forest where the current temple stands, and when they dug, blood flowed from one side, and milk flowed from the other side when they dug side. Locals saw this spectacle and believed that a god was sitting there. Two rocks are said to have been found at the same spot.

Jageshwari is on the right and Bageshwari is on the left, hence the temple Jay Bageshwari. Similarly,  where the milk flowed, a temple was built by Siddheswar Mahadev, believing that Lord Shiva dwelled there.
