Helambu Great Trail

Helambu Great Trail is under construction on a trekking route in Helambu, Sindhupalchok. It connects Helambu & famous Gosaikunda lake, Rasuwa. It is a 60 km-long route. It starts from Nagidada Buddha Park near Sermathang. Then, it ends in Ghopteghang. This route is the best trek to Gosaikunda, Rasuwa. This Great Trail is constructed in the Great Wall of China model. So, it seems like "The Great Wall Of China." Its main purpose is to attract local & international tourists. Initially, this trail is built by Helambu Gaupalika.

The Helambu Great Trail is also known as the 'Himalayan Guru Rinpoche Great Trail". It is situated about 80 KM north of Kathmandu, Nepal. This project started in 2019. Similarly, This project will be completed in 15 years. Helambu Great Trail is a prominent project for the whole of Nepal, not only for Helambu.

The structure of Trail seems very attractive & beautiful. It is 9 feet wide and 60 KM long. You can observe a beautiful mountain range, local village & lifestyle, attractive hills & wildlife. Red Panda, Rhododendron & other unique things are the major attractions here. Local stone & sand are used to build this trail route.

Tourists can observe multiple mountain ranges such as Senisidang, Dorje Lhakpa, Gang Chambo, Yuwa Peak, Gauri Shankar and others. This trail connects various religious sites. These are Sermathang, Jyomthang, Panchpokhari, Ama Yangri, Dupu, Bhemthang, Jalansa, Semesidang, Dawalang, Gufu Pokhari etc. It has religious as well as tourist significance.

The lowest altitude of the Helambu Great Trail is 2500 meters above sea level. Similarly, The highest altitude of this trail is 5000 meters. The DPR of this project has been completed & started to build. Its total budget is 4 billion rupees.
