The oldest school in Sindhupalchowk district is Shree Krishna Ratna Ganga Secondary School located at Chautara Bazaar. Established in the year 2004 (1947), this school now provides education up to class 12. This school is a community school run under the Ministry of Education, Government of Nepal. It has conducted ten plus two classes with affiliation to the National Examination Board.

Almost all the students around the headquarters of Chautara study in this school. Management, science, education, and humanities faculties are taught here in classes 11 and 12.

From nursery to class 10th, English medium is taught and Nepali medium is also used in class 8th and 9th.
