Namobuddha is one of the historical place in Kavre. During the state structure after the new constitution, i.e. during the implementation of federalism, based on the information published in the gazette by the Government of Nepal on the 27th of Falgun 2073, this municipality was established by adjusting the former Mathurapati, Fulbari, Methinkot, Kanpur Kalapani, Purana Gaun Dhapcha, Chhatrebas Dhapche, Pokhare, Shyam Pati & Simalchaur village development committees.
There are 11 ward offices in the Namobuddha Municipality. The total area of this munnicipality is 102 square kilometres. The eastern border of Namobuddha is connected with Temal Gaupalika. And, the western border is connected with Dhulikhel & Panuati. Similarly, The northern & southern borders are associated with Panchkhal/ Dhulekhel and Roshi/ Bethanchok Gaupalika respectively.
