Banepa Municipality

Banepa is the municipality in Kavrealanchok district, Bagmati, Nepal. During the state structure after the new constitution, i.e. during the implementation of federalism, based on the information published in the gazette by the Government of Nepal on the 27th of Falgun 2073, this municipality was established by adjusting the former Banepa Municipality, Tukuchanala, Ugrachand Nala, Raviopi (6-9), Devitar (4, 5), Nasikasthan Sanga, & Mahendra Jyoti village development committees. 

There are 14 ward offices in Banepa Municipality with a total of 54.59 Square Kilometre area. Geographically, this municipality is located at 27.37 degrees latitude 81.31 degrees longitude and 4800 meters altitude from sea level. Dhulikhel is to the east, Bhaktapur District is to the west, Mandandeupur Municipality is to the north, and Panauti Municipality is to the south of Banepa Municipality. This municipality, surrounded by hills, mountains, and tiny settlements, is also a significant commercial hub for the Kavrepalanchok district. "Pa" denotes settlement, while "bane" denotes enterprise. Banepa is a commercial place for traders.
