Geruwa Rural Municipality

Geewa Rural Municipality is the local level (local government) located in the Bardia district under the Lumbini province of Nepal. It was established in the year 2074 BS. During the state structure after the new constitution, i.e. during the implementation of federalism, based on the information published in the gazette by the Government of Nepal on the 27th of Falgun 2073, this rural municipality was established by adjusting the former Patabhara, Gola, Pasupatinagar, & Manau village development committees. 

Geruwa rural municipality is named after the Geruwa river that flows through this area. This rural municipality is important from the point of view of tourism. The geographic location of Geruwa Rural Municipality on the world map extends from 28°24' 18.17" to 28°35'36.04" North latitude and 81°8' 51" to 81°15' 12" East longitude. This rural municipality is spread at a height of 145 meters to 180 meters above sea level. Similarly, The total area of this ral municpality is 78.41 square km.

Bardia National Park is in the east of this rural municipality. Simlarly, Rajapur municipality is in the west.  Kailali district & Rajapur Municipality is in the north and south respectively of this rural municipality.
