Sayal Rural Municipality is located in the Doti district of Sudurpashcim province. During Nepal's state restructuring & new constitution, this rural municipality is formed by merging the former Chhapali, Toleni, Daida, and Khatiwad (1,2,3,7,8 & 9). There are six ward offices in Sayal. Similarly, this RM is spread over 122.72 square kilometres.
The eastern border of Sayal is connected with the Khaptad National Park. Similarly, Adharsha Gaupalika is on the western border of Sayal. Additionally, the southern border is associated with Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality & Purbichauki Gaupalika. And, the southern border is connected with the Bajhang district.
