There are seven rural municipalities in the Doti district. According to the notice published in the gazette on the 27th of Falgun 2073, Purbichauki Rural Municipality, Badikedar Rural Municipality, Jorayal Rural Municipality, Sayal Rural Municipality, Aadarsha Rural Municipality, Dr. K. I. Singh Rural Municipality, Bogatan Fudsil Rural Municipality are the municipalities of Doti. The Doti district has nine local governments after promulgating a new constitution in Nepal.
