Shikhar is a municipality in the Doti district of Sudurpashchim Pradesh, Nepal. Geographically, it is spread over a hilly region. During the state restructuring, the former Kapalleki, Mudegaun, Mudbhara, Tilaji, Pachnali, Latamandu, Jijodamandu, Banlek, and Barpat village development committees merged and formed Shikhar Municipality. This municipality is spread over 285 square kilometres. Similarly, there are 11 ward offices in Shikhar Municipality.
The eastern border is connected with Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality. Dadeldhura is in the western part of this municipality. The southern & northern borders are connected with K.I Singh Rural Municipality & Adharsha Gaupalika respectively.
